GBV Training

10 June 2020, Sheikhan, Iraq

FYF’s staff in Sheikhan received training on gender-based violence (GBV) related issues, including protection of women’s rights, confidentiality, and case management for GBV cases within the Yezidi community. FYF’s team is designed to advocate for the rights of GBV victims, referring cases to psychologists and social workers as needed. In preparation for the implementation of the project, FYF has conducted meetings with Yezidi religious leaders and community leaders to explain the project goals, and we are extremely grateful for the expressions of support we have received for this initiative.
