Waheeda Omer, a humanitarian professional from Sinjar, Iraq, holds a bachelor's degree in English language and literature. Fluent in Arabic, Kurdish, and English, she serves as the Protection Manager at the Free Yezidi Foundation. With a focus on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) and justice for survivors, Waheeda ensures the organization's initiatives adhere to do-no-harm and survivor-centered standards and best practices. As a skilled translator, she bridges communication barriers, dedicated to stabilizing and improving the lives of Yezidis, women, and survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) post-genocide.
